Automotive Audio System Design

Stroud Audio has worked with design teams to develop class-leading sound systems. These vehicles have full-deep bass and clear treble, a smooth midrange, enveloping ambience and defined imaging all across the dash.

Our sound design tools incude:

We use techniques such as transfer function measurement, speaker polar response characterization, loudness compensation, bass management, phase manipulation and time delay to make your vehicle sound better than you may have thought possible.

SAI can travel to your place of tuning, or we can host your vehicle at our location. When we are working with your car audio development team, we will encourage your team and respect its values.

We will not disclose information about your unreleased new automobiles or the sound systems they use.

Automotive Audio Evaluation

SAI performs static and driving evaluations of vehicles. These evaluations can be done on your site, near our home base, or most anywhere in the world.

We use SAI's Skilled Listening methodology, which provides a highly repeatable and detailed evaluation of your vehicular audio system.

SAI's "Skilled Listening" method is designed to provide a result that can track customer satisfaction. The breakdown of the sonic presentation elements provides elements for judgement that can be verified by other listeners.

Importantly, Stroud Audio Inc. can serve as an independent evaluator of your automotive audio systems. This can help resolve evaluation differences and provide a solid basis for design improvements.

When correctable performance issues arise, we can help with changes to tuning and with component choices. SAI will offer to recuse itself from further official evaluations of vehicles we design or modify.
